Q Can I make payments?
A. Yes. If you would like to make payments, you can charge your Visa, MasterCard or Discover, or
enroll with CareCredit or the Citi Health Card. We can also provide a payment plan which uses electronic funds transfer on a regular schedule through your bank.
Q. What are CareCredit and the Citi Health Card?
A. CareCredit and the Citi Health Card are personal lines of credit that can only be used for healthcare procedures, including dental, orthodontic, vision, hearing and veterinary treatments. For qualifying candidates, they offer “no interest” financing for procedures starting at $150, and budget payment plans for procedures of $1,000 or more.
Q. How do I enroll in CareCredit or the Citi Health Card?
A. We can help you enroll in CareCredit or Citi Health here at our office. You also can enroll online in CareCredit at www.carecredit.com and Citi Health at www.healthcard.citicards.com. They can help you determine which payment plan will work best for you.
Q. How much will my insurance cover?
A. Every insurance company is different, and dental insurance is not like medical insurance. We may have already contacted your insurance company about the treatment needed, or will contact them for you, to determine the estimated amount they will cover. After your insurance company provides an estimate of coverage, we can then determine the remaining portion for which you
are responsible.
Q. How do you work with my insurance company?
A. We are a unique dental practice in that we communicate directly with your insurance company to help you maximize your dental benefits. Typically, we contact your insurance company prior to your scheduled treatment to determine an estimate of the amount covered by your benefits.
Then, we also submit your insurance claims for you. At times, insurance companies will deny a claim, and in many instances, we will resubmit the claim for you to attempt to gain coverage for your treatment.
Q. What if my insurance claim is denied?
A. If the insurance company denies your claim, we will send you a statement indicating that you are responsible for paying the remainder of the dental fee due. At this time, you can still choose to pay with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Citi Pay or CareCredit. And, if applicable, we
will process the insurance claim again and resubmit it for you.
