THE GROVE CITY CENTER FOR DENTISTRY HOSTS FOOD DRIVE TO FEED NEEDY
GROVE CITY, OH -- Teaming up with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, The Grove City Center for Dentistry at 4104 Broadway is hosting its first annual Holiday Smiles Food Drive.
The practice is collecting non-perishable food items now through Monday, December 20, 2010 and will deliver all food collected to Mid-Ohio Foodbank. In addition to collecting food, The Grove City Center for Dentistry is donating 144 new toothbrushes and 144 packs of toothpaste to the Foodbank.
“This is such an important time of year to help our neighbors in need,” said Bryan Simone, D.D.S., owner of The Grove City Center for Dentistry. “We want to encourage everyone to work together to end hunger during the holidays and throughout the year.” Given this is the first year of the practice’s Holiday Smiles Food Drive, Simone said they will use this year’s donation total to set a goal for the 2011 Holiday Smiles drive. And, the practice already has registered to participate in the 2011 Operation Feed program, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s largest community-wide drive.
Open to the public, everyone can drop off Holiday Smiles food items at The Grove City Center for Dentistry located at 4104 Broadway in Grove City, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items in need include canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup and Chili, canned juices, boxed pancake, bread and other dry mixes, as well as rice and powdered potatoes.
