Teeth Whitening

Your great smile is brighter with teeth whitening.

At The Grove City Center for Dentistry, we want your healthy smile to be as white and bright as it can be. And, it can be brighter with teeth whitening.

We provide two different whitening solutions for our patients.

Opalescence Take-Home Whitening

Opalescence take-home whitening gel includes custom-made trays that we make in our office. We will take impressions of your teeth and then fabricate the trays. You will go home with your custom trays and syringes of whitening gel. Opalescence tooth whitening gel contains PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride)

As part of your whitening treatment, we recommend that you wear the Opalescence whitening gel for at least 30 minutes per day. Your custom trays can also be worn overnight.

Opalescence GO

Opalescence Go is a great professional alternative to over-the-counter whitening options. We think it is best used as a simple, fast way to start your whitening treatment, or if you just want to touch up your whitening a bit. Opalescence Go can be used right out of the package. It comes with a clear material tray that can be used by anyone. The Opalescence tooth whitening gel contains PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride)

We recommend that you wear the Opalescence whitening gel for at least 30 minutes per day, or even overnight.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does teeth whitening last?

Typically, professional teeth whitening lasts 1-3 years, depending on how you care for your teeth after the procedure and the level of discoloration your teeth had prior to treatment. Maintaining good oral hygiene and avoiding staining foods like coffee, tea, and soda helps preserve your professional whitening results longer.

Professional whitening treatments at a dentist’s office are the most effective way to whiten teeth, using stronger bleaching agents under expert supervision for superior results. While over-the-counter options exist, professional dental whitening delivers faster, more dramatic, and longer-lasting results. Maintaining good oral hygiene and avoiding staining foods helps preserve your professional whitening.

Yes, yellow teeth can often become whiter with proper care and treatment. Whitening works best when the discoloration is caused by surface stains from foods, drinks, or smoking. Teeth that are yellow due to aging or deep enamel changes may require professional treatments to see significant improvement. Regular brushing, flossing, and professional cleanings also help restore a brighter appearance over time.

Getting noticeably whiter teeth in just seven days usually requires consistent care and sometimes professional help. Over-the-counter whitening strips or gels applied daily, combined with thorough brushing and flossing, can improve surface stains. Avoiding stain-causing foods and drinks, using whitening toothpaste, and drinking plenty of water also helps. For faster and more dramatic results, dentists offer in-office whitening treatments that can significantly brighten teeth in a single session.
